Grant Awarded Helps Unite Siblings

When Tracy and Tom received a call from their social worker asking if they would be willing to adopt little Yi-Wan from South Korea, there was no doubt in their mind.  Now 9 months old, baby Yi Wan is the biological little brother of their eldest child Ty.  The Lilleberg family had talked about adding to their family a year earlier, and all along, God had been opening their hearts to receive Yi-Wan.

With the cost of international adoption being so high, the Lillebergs were concerned about financing the adoption.  “We were a little scared about the finances, but knew that God would provide.  We received a grant from Bethany Christian's caring fund.  We felt so grateful for this.  We then received a grant from Open Hearts for Orphans.  We felt equally blessed for this grant,” says Tracy.  “To us, God has shown his amazing presence throughout this entire process."  Both Tracy and Tom’s families have also helped in financing Yi-Wan’s upcoming journey.

The Lilleberg family awaits the arrival of Yi-Wan from South Korea.

Yi-Wan will be the third child the Lillebergs have adopted from South Korea, with 5-year-old Ty being their first and 4-year-old Teagan being their second.  “I truly feel God pulled us in the direction of international adoption and put our hearts in Korea,” says Tracy.  “When we found out about our little boy, we knew this was God's work.  We cannot wait until this little baby boy is placed into our arms.  My son is so proud to be a big brother to another boy.”

The Lilleberg’s daughter, Teagan, is also excited to become a big sister. “She used to be a little tom boy, but since she found out she is going to be a big sister, that has changed a bit.  She now plays with all of her dolls and pretends they are her baby brother.  She told me she can't wait to feed him.  She is ready to be mommy and daddy's helper."
